I was walking by Chico's when I saw a cute bleached jean jacket. My first instincts are to go in a purchase it...but wait, I have a jean jacket at home I never wear.
To bleach the jacket I put about four inches of hot water in the laundry tub along with about one third of the jug of bleach. I wet the jacket and dunked and moved around the top portion of the jacket for about 20 minutes, then put it through one wash cycle with vinegar and one without. Yeah! A new jacket.

Vogue 8811 and 8756
When I was cutting these out I was thinking why do I want to make two dresses that are basically the same pattern?
It is funny how they can look so different,
Vogue 8811
This pattern is nice when you don't want to break up the design in your fabric. It's a great basic dress, fun to accessorize with a belt, jacket or jewelery.
Vogue 8765
I like this pattern better. It fits perfectly and it just looks better, but part of that is the color. This is a beautifully embroidered corduroy from JoAnne Fabrics. The finished dress is very heavy.
I am working on Valentines Day and I think this will be the dress to wear.

Elements Jacket 004
This looks better on the hanger than on me. I think I'll keep it for awhile, it might be good to wear to the Russian Museum.
