McCall's 7991

No, we do not have any snow so far this winter, this is from last year. This posting has been sitting around for a year.

This is one of my favorite patterns, McCall's 7991.

This dress is made from stretch velvet. I used the fabric for the cuffs instead of ribbing
 like the last time.

I did want to wear this today, but couldn't find it, so I'm wearing another self-made velvet dress!

McCall's 7991

This is the second dress I've made from this pattern. I thought the fit would be the same, but this material must be more stretchy. The front wrap needed to be stitched up with more of an overlap. I considered just cutting everything apart and doing just that, but I'm going to leave it alone and not worry about it.

The fabric is from Mood and it's been in the stash for quite awhile waiting for the perfect pattern. The check pattern can be quite overwhelming, even on me!

It's December and it's almost fifty degrees. Will miracles ever cease? Going outside to socially distance and have a Guinness Stout!

McCall's 7991

I loved this dress so much that I cut out a second one right away and it only took a few hours to sew...win!

I didn't make any changes to the pattern and it fits good. The fabric was from JoAnn's purchased last year.
