The embroidered top was from a thrift store. In it's original form it was just overwhelming, even for me. I cut off the sleeves and the length from the shirt. I also opened up the darts in the back.
The skirt started off as a dress from Target. This was purchased from one of my first shopping trips after Covid. We couldn't try anything on (still that way at Target) and I didn't want to take too much time shopping. When I got home and tried it on, it was huge! Not my size! After much (too much) thinking about what to do, I just cut it off to make a skirt. And it matched the shirt perfectly and it wasn't planned, Yeah!
